About the Farm

Two Spruce Farm is a 1-acre market garden at The Northland Sheep Dairy in Marathon, NY. We grow 100 varieties of organically-grown vegetables, many of which are open-pollinated or heirloom. Two Spruce is committed to methods of growing which promote biodiversity, minimize dependence on fossil fuel and exclude the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides.

The 2013 incarnation of Two Spruce Farm is managed by Daniel Grover with help and support from Donn and Maryrose. 

This will be Daniel's fourth farming season: he spent the first two working with kids on an educational farm off the coast of Massachusetts,  the third at the Dickinson College Farm in south-central PA, and is excited to be at the Northland Sheep Dairy with Donn Hewes and Maryrose Livingston this season.
